Better decisions under pressure

A structured framework to improve decision-making in real-world, high-pressure environments.

I work with individuals and organisations to improve how decisions are made under pressure.

This involves structured reflection on real situations, helping people understand how decisions are shaped and how to improve them over time.

What I Do

  • Decisions are made under pressure

  • Information is incomplete

  • Responsibility is high

  • Policy does not always match reality

Most people are expected to manage this without structured support.

The Reality of Decision-Making

The IVAM Approach

IVAM provides a structured way to think clearly about decisions — before and after they are made.

It supports better judgment, clearer responsibility, and more consistent decision-making over time.

How Engagement Works

  • Monthly engagement

  • Structured sessions

  • Ongoing support

  • Real-world application

Designed to be integrated over time, not delivered as a one-off.

The IVAM Framework

IVAM is structured across three levels:

  • Core — individual foundations

  • Applied — operational environments

  • Strategic — leadership and governance

IVAM Integration Pathway

IVAM is designed to build internal capability over time, not long-term dependency.

Phase 1 — Clarity & Decision Hygiene
Establishing structured reflection and improving day-to-day decision-making under pressure.

Phase 2 — Organisational Alignment
Embedding consistent decision standards across teams and operational environments.

Phase 3 — Autonomy & Independence
Developing internal capability to sustain clear, accountable decision-making without ongoing external support.

  • Individuals in high-responsibility roles

  • Team leaders and managers

  • organisations managing risk and uncertainty

Who It’s For

About

IVAM was developed through direct experience of decision-making in high-pressure environments, where responsibility, ambiguity, and real-world constraints shape outcomes.

The model focuses on how decisions are actually made, rather than how they are expected to be made.

This work is grounded in practical application, structured reflection, and ongoing refinement through real-world use.

The approach is supported by a background in psychology, including an MSc in Forensic and Investigative Psychology and a BSc in Psychology.

Professional Scope

IVAM supports structured decision-making under pressure.
It does not provide therapy, legal advice, or crisis intervention.
